Agents
Do you have agents representing your cards?
Yes, we have 8 agents covering all parts of the UK. If you would like a visit by one of our agents, please send us your shop name, location and telephone number, and tell us which cards you are interested in, using the 'Contact us' form, or telephone us on 01250 876000.
Samples
Can I get samples of your cards?
For serious trade customers, we are willing to send out samples. Please either make your request using the 'Contact us' form, or telephone Averil on 01250 876000.
Minimum quantities
What is the minimum order quantity for trade orders?
The minimum order quantity, if you want to qualify for free postage, is £100 before VAT. We will accept orders below £100 value, but charge £5 postage for carriage within the UK.
Accounts
Do I have to pay up-front for orders, or can I run an account?
For new customers, we ask that the first few orders are paid in advance, on a pro forma basis. If you place your order online, our system will generate a pro forma and email it to you. Your order will then be shipped when we receive payment. After you have ordered a few times, we will be happy to set up a 30-day account with you.
Shipping times
If I place a trade order today, when am I likely to receive it?
We aim to ship orders within 1-2 working days of receiving them. They go on a next-day Fedex service, so you should receive your order on the second or third working day after placing it. Sometimes even quicker.
Customers outside the UK
How can trade customers outside the UK get your cards?
We supply wholesalers in Australia and Canada, so if you are from one of those countries please use our 'Contact us' form to send us your details and we will then make sure that our representative gets in touch. If you are in a different country, you can order direct from us, but recommend that you use the 'Contact us' form to introduce yourself, and we can then work with you to create a first order.
Wholesalers outside the UK
I would like to wholesale your cards outside the UK? Who should I speak to?
Please get in touch using our 'Contact us' form, providing the name of your company, details of your activities in the card industry, and the cards you would like to wholesale. We will respond after checking our existing arrangements in your country.
Purchases by individuals
I want to buy some of your cards for my own use. Can I buy direct from you or do I have to buy from a shop?
Valentine does not sell its cards direct to individuals at the moment, so the only way to get them is from a shop. To find out who your nearest stockist is, use our 'Contact us' form to send us an email, putting your post code in the form, and we will reply within an hour.
Purchases by companies
I am from a company and want to buy over 250 cards from you for corporate use. Can I buy direct?
Yes, we do sometimes sell direct to companies and, if the quantities are sufficient, we can overprint a corporate message on the inside of the card. Please telephone Andrew on 01250 876000 or use the 'Contact us' form to tell us which cards you are interested in, and how man you are likely to need.
Supermarkets
Which supermarkets stock your cards?
Waitrose stocks many of our ranges. You can't always be sure that they will have the specific card that you ant, as they rotate the range, but they have the most popular designs.
Licensing
Can I license one of your card designs for use in our magazine/ leaflet/corporate brochure?
We do sometimes grant licences for the use of images on our cards, after discussion with the artist. Please telephone Andrew on 01250 876000 or use the 'Contact us' form to tell us what you want.
New card ideas
Who should I contact if I want to submit an idea for a new card range to you?
The best thing is to send us details of your new idea using our 'Contact us' form. That will be circulated to editors and we will get back to you very quickly.
