Our history
Valentine Marketing Limited (VML) was founded in 1995 by Andrew Valentine, the sixth generation of the famous Dundee Valentine family publishing company, founded in 1825. To read about the role which generations of Valentines have played in the greeting card industry, click here.
Our ranges
VML specialises in high quality greeting cards, and is best known for its range of humorous cartoons from The New Yorker magazine. The New Yorker's archive of cartoons goes back to 1925 and includes many of the important talents in American humor, including Charles Addams, Charles Barsotti, George Booth, Roz Chast, Sam Cobean, Helen E. Hokinson, Ed Koren, Mary Petty, George Price, Charles Saxon, David Snell, Otto Soglow, Saul Steinberg, William Steig, Richard Taylor, Barney Tobey, James Thurber, Richard Decker and Gahan Wilson.
As well as the cartoons, VML also publishes selected covers from The New Yorker, diverse in style yet instantly recognisable.
We also publish ranges of photographic cards (notably Country Living, and Jake Eastham's stunning images of country scenes), and the delightful Bells and Whistles designs from Susan Entwistle.
In 2010 we have added Yoga Cats and Dogs, one of the most original and popular card ranges in the USA, and will be launching two further ranges in the Summer and Autumn.

Our trade customers
VML sells to independent card and gift shops, bookshops, department stores and garden centres. If you are a trade customer and are interested in stocking our cards, please register. We will arrange for an agent to visit you and/or send you our catalogue and sales materials.
